DOES GOD HATE ME?

Is he, on my side?

Does he have my back?

A young man recently asked me if there was hope for him. I was certain, convinced, there was. If you think God hates you, you probably need to know that the people Jesus had the strongest words for were the religious hypocrites. The people who cared more about the rules of men than the will of God.

The people he loved, were the people who knew that they were sinful, the people who knew that they unclean, the sick.He loved them. He came to Earth for them. He healed them. Maybe you’ve had a sex life that would make a lot of people blush. Jesus forgave prostitutes. Maybe you are used to being rejected by everyone. Jesus healed lepers. Lepers had a terrible, untreatable, infectious skin disease. They were outcasts. When a leper approached Jesus (Luke Chapter 5, Verse 12)

“he fell with his face to the ground and begged him. ‘Lord, if you are willing you can make me clean’. Jesus reached out his hand and touched the man. ‘I am willing,’ he said. ‘Be clean!’ And immediately the leprosy left him.”

Maybe you don’t approach God as you think there is no hope for you?

There is hope for everyone who is willing to ask for forgiveness. Those who are willing to make a change. Those who are willing to forgive others.

Anyone who believes in him can have eternal life.
